Cheers to intern life

I’ve just begun my summer stint at the MetroWest Daily News in Framingham, Massachusetts. MetroWest covers towns west of Boston, and from what I’ve seen so far, there is surely no shortage of things to cover.

I spent my first day at Framingham District Court, watching arraignment after arraignment. We saw cases like this. And this.

I quickly learned that court is an incredibly structured and efficient system, although tedious at times.

I’ll be getting to pen some bylines in the coming months. You’ll see them posted on here. In the meantime, I’m liking intern life so far. And the buzz of the police scanner has become my new favorite sound.
